The human body needs vitamins for proper functioning, and vitamin B deficiency can lead to serious health problems. Foods that are rich in vitamin B include meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and beans. Vitamin B3, or niacin, helps convert food into energy, while vitamin B6 helps metabolize amino acids and proteins. Vitamin B12 is used to treat pernicious anemia, and regulates the nervous system and the immune system.
