Our Botulinum Toxin training foundation course covers the upper face, where you will learn about the dosage, reconstitution and legalities of carrying out botulinum toxin injections for your clients. You will understand how to assess, mark out and administer Botulinum Toxin and will work on live models throughout the day.

Botulinum toxin is known to be most effective in the uppermost third of the face to reduce wrinkles. The effects typically last between two to four months. Your clients can expect to see results between three to five days, with its maximum effect visible a week after the injection.

WHAT WILL I LEARN? You will learn how to administer botulinum toxin type A in the upper face, covering frown lines, and around the eyes. This will include theory, history, dosage, reconstruction contra-indications and side effects.

You will also learn about the legalities surrounding these types of injections, including prescribing regulations and how to set up a successful clinic.

You will learn about the anatomy & physiology of the facial skin and muscles of the upper face, which is vital for any treatment that breaks the skin.

DO I NEED ANY QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS COURSE?

Requirements to train:

-MUST hold a medical degree (including doctor, dentists, pharmacists and HCP)

-MUST hold a valid certificate in level 4 Anatomy & Physiology and have over 12 months advanced skin needling experience or equivalent
