COURSE INFORMATION
Timings
Online Theory – Approximately 2 hours depending on pace
In-salon Practical Session – 10am-2pm
You must complete the online theory before you attend the in-store practical. Failure to do so will mean you will be turned away on the day and will have to return on the next date available.
Key Features
Prior to face to face in-salon training you will receive access to your learning portal to complete the following:
- Health and Safety
- Advanced Cutting methodology, angles and terminology, razor cutting techniques
- Client consultation, adaptations to styles to suit
The In-salon face to face practical session will cover:
- Razor Cutting, Disconnection. Asymmetry, Restyling
- Demonstration from the educator
- Hands on practical workshop on training head (1 Hair Cut) Step by Step with the educator
Additional Information
- Students must be at least 18 years of age to attend
- Please bring along working scissors you are comfortable using
- You will receive a Welcome Email within 48 hours of purchasing your training from JH Ravrani Academy with instructions on how to access the online learning portal
- Online learning must be completed before attending the practical training session
- You will continue to have access to the online learning portal for 1 year
- Upon completion you will receive an accredited E-certificate
- 4 CPD hours & 4 CPD points
- This course is ideal for hairdressers with an NVQ / VRQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent), stylists who have completed a short hair cutting course, or those with at least 1 year of cutting experience looking to advance their skills in short hair cutting

- Hairdryer
- Basic styling kit
- 16-inch training head
Please note: Live models are not accepted on this course.
Students should also bring a fully charged laptop, tablet, or smartphone to access the online portal and receive their certificate.

Online Theory Module
You will receive login details for our Online Student Portal once your booking has been processed.
The online training is designed to guide you through each stage of the course clearly and professionally. You will complete comprehensive study materials at your own pace, including:
- Video tutorials
- Step-by-step learning materials
- Multiple choice assessments
Students must achieve 70% on each online theory assessment. Tests can be retaken as many times as needed.
Upon successful completion, you will receive a downloadable CPD Accredited theory certificate.
